95% of players would just suggest sabway or discordway. Personally I think you should tailor your heroes to best fit your primary, but that's just me. Synergy is the key.

you need builds that synergize well like sabway or discordway
i myself use a usual monk/jagged bomber and nuker and myself as a mind blast rodgort nuker with ["you move like a dwarf!"] and ["finish him!"] equipped for those little tough bits
VQ'ing itself isn't hard if you know what you're getting into
so study the area abit and know what's waiting for you

Its always a good idea to look at the area on wiki before entering and alter your build accordingly.
Looking at your profession (W/E) you'd probably want to be running the Godmode build (Dragon Slash, FGJ, SY! etc.) this will give your team a huge boost in armour. (try asking at the warrior forum for full details).
Take a look at the hero builds forum for a great number of useful hero builds.

I Vanquish Alot, but honestly.. i wouldnt do it on your own. get a friend to come with you. vanquishing with H/H is annoying. but with other heros its alright.
Taking sabway works. depending on your proffession.
i monk, So i dont find it that effective. i find it rather slow.
but every man to his own.
I normally Take Myself as healer a prot hero. A Dom Mes And a minion Bomber. then depending on weather or not your H/H'ing see what else you can get.

With hero's it is often also a good idea to prepare a bit before agroing, i.e. to place them appart and avoid party wipes by for example ele bosses or to target an interupter hero on nasty bosses/foes before going in the battle.
Agro control is a good thing to take into account in VQ makes things mostly a lot easier
Finally I'd adapt your team build to avoid damage by foes rather then trying to outheal, but that is generally what keeps you alive in HM. for example meat shields (minions)/tanks in front keeping the squishies from taking the damage

or we could just not recommend the same builds over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for all eternity and let the guy use some new, genuine builds.
sabway- bad
discord - bad
i wouldn't run those if i was paid to. i like the idea of me being.. well... ME. but, as what was advised, yes, i DO recommend going to wiki just to scope the areas to see what you're up against. i'd recommend that to anyone who was new to GW.
overall, vanq'ing is VERY easy so don't be intimidated by it. take your time, you have til 2010 'til GW 2 is released

The key to vanquishing is pulling/not over aggroing. It may be marginally slower than leeeerooooying, but it works better in the long run.
Try flagging your heroes and pulling bite-sized mobs back to them
Also, Pain Inverter is (almost) mandatory for some HM bosses, especially AoE damage dealers, especially if you have a minion army.

Silicon speaks truth, flagging them spreaded works nicely in places filled with, for example, Saltspray Dragons or Ruby Djinns. I usually preprot myself with [[protective spirit] and [[spirit bond] prior aggroing such hard groups (Garden of Seborhin, Resplendent Makuun) if I'm going H/H, otherwise I try to be the one with the prot hero in the team to micro on the frontliner.
Survival and shutdown is important in HM. As such, Protection prayers and conditions like blind and weakness help a lot, as well as defensive skills such as wards and shutdown skills such as interrupts. This doesn't means you have to carry them all in the same run, but just knowing what you're facing prior to starting.
Also I'd reccommend anti-block skills for most Vabbian/Kournan/Luxon areas for the beetles/rangers/nagas out there that just make the battle longer with they annoying blocking stances. And enchantment removal for areas with, for example, Stone Summit Healers (most South Shiverpeaks).
Finally, don't overaggro. Yes, you can aggro 30 foes in NM and come out like nothing happened, but in HM get a flatbow/longbow, flag your H/H (if applicable) one or two aggro bubbles behind, and throw an arrow and see what comes.

Promptly said they both suck yet you don't offer any alternative.
Good job.

alf, i've said it many many many times before and i really don't feel like saying it again (for my reasons on disliking "sabway", ect). if you REALLY ARE THAT motivated/interested as to "why" then just go through my posts and find it. anyways, have fun with it. i'm off to bed, work in 4 hours. ~ciao

I guess I usually just run the sabway while I'm running the minion bomber and I have a domination mesmer for interrupts and stuff. Honestly, creating your own build for heroes isn't really much to be proud of, just use what's easy. Sabway is one of the best for h/h, but real pugs or guildies can be much better.

Don't feel like reading your ~600 posts, thanks for the invitation though.
Neither Sabway nor Discordway are "bad" as you said. Not because you dislike something it means it's bad. They're pretty solid and synergized builds (sp?), and I often find myself running the MM from Sab or the Orders derv from Racthoh more often than not.
I don't know how you feel, but I don't lose my identity (as implied by your emphasis on "ME") for just running what works nicely and gets the job done. Let him try the builds, if he really dislikes them then he can make his own and come back to us with his awesome builds.

there now it doesnt waste as much space
Do you know why they call it Sabway, Discordway, Rac's build? you get 3 guesses....
Give up? ok well here it is.
It is because somebody devised team builds that are VERY EFFECTIVE, can be used almost anywhere with ease. In fact they are arguably the best team builds in the runnings.
You spend a lot of time thrashing GOOD builds with no logical reasoning. The bottom line is you dislike the builds for your own personal reasons. They are not bad builds.
If you can make a better team build, then i invite you to post it and see if they put your name on it. But they already have a build named after you. Cryway.

I would add to this:
[pain inverter][assassin's promise][you move like a dwarf][finish him]
And you run like a train through the mob, but then again this is almost as boring as going Ursan

The OP came here asking for builds so, that probably means 1 of 2 things.
1) They don't have time to mess with setting up builds,
2) They don't want to take the time.
Either way they come here to ask for help with the builds.
In our responce why not suggest Sabway or any of the others that many people use. When I see a post like this I figure the OP does not have alot of time to try different things and want to vanq areas quickly so, why not point them in the direction of builds that are proven to work and work fast.
Then to top it off after saying that the 2 builds that were given are not good you offer nothing to help out.
Why did you even post?
@OP
Anyway try looking here as well, they have tons of good builds that can help you get it done. PvX Wiki

Use consumables for the tough/tricky area's.
Be sure to bring a Powerstone. Getting kicked to the last town because you hit 60% DP, with only 10 monsters left after a 2 hr Vanquish isn't very productive.
